So, for example, if you wanted to send a text to someone who's a Virgin Mobile customer, you would send it to something like this: Search a carrier's website for its carrier address. A complete carrier address would be the cell number, (without quotes), and the Web address - no spaces. If you know your recipient's cell phone number and carrier address, you can send him a text from your computer. If you don't find your carrier listed there, has an even more comprehensive list. You'll find more SMS addresses on this site, too. If you want to send pictures, video, or audio, you'll need to skip the SMS address and use the MMS (multimedia messaging service) address instead.
